Having finished Arven's plot arc, he challenges us for a friendly match to see how far we've both come after facing literal giants. Unsurprisingly, we win, but before that, we also get more information on the situation with the Professor, his parent. In Scarlet, it's Sada, and in Violet, it's Turo. Arven and Sada/Turo tell us more about where the professor is and we're told to find them at the center of Area Zero in the Great Crater of Paldea, but we're hard walled by the fact we need more allies.
It just so happens the other two main quests of the game give us another Champion rank ally, and a tech genius ally, which is exactly what we need. The professor themselves will say to take our time and prep, and so there is no immediate sense of urgency if you haven't cleared the other quests before this.
We also find out the Scarlet Book / Violet Book hold some sort of meaning, the very plot device Arven was lugging for most of the game to find herbs. How far does the rabbit hole go? The only way to find out is to beat the other plot lines and finally reach the converging story point, as there sure is no credits screen even if you beat all three plot lines by themselves.
I'd also like to give a shout out to K.I. for helping me record some of this, since I've been recovering from a painful surgery and got a nasty flu that really affected me. Without your help, I would not have been able to get these videos out in a timely manner. I love you.
