I finally completed another extreme demon trilogy after so long. Feels cool. I have a somewhat long experience with this one while also not having too much to say about it. I attempted to go for this as a new hardest back in 2019; I ended up dumping about 6,000 attempts into it before dropping it as I was just bored and not getting anywhere. Coming back to it after beating Digital Descent, it still had some boring moments, but I found this to be a good level in the end, better than I thought it would be. In terms of the gameplay there weirdly isn't much that I would describe as amazing, just most of the parts were solid. The only serious gripe I have is, unfortunately, Michigun's part. Not only is it the worst gameplay in the level but it's also the hardest by a significant amount. It disrupts what would otherwise be a fairly well balanced level in my opinion, which speaking of that really surprised me after experiencing what is some of the most unbalanced gameplay I've ever seen in its successors. This alongside the music and visuals of the level made this feel so much different than the other two, which if anything I liked about it. Etzer's part in this might be one of my favorite parts ever visually speaking, same with Galvatron's part too, which is probably overall my favorite part between all 3 levels. Even though I found Digital Descent to be the most enjoyable of the trilogy, I think this is the most special one to me. It might not have been one of my most exciting experiences but it can make for a pretty good time, as long as you're not stuck from 0. I think this is a good option for anyone to do, either as or not as a hardest.
Shame on the 95% death though...
