This video shows a method of making orpiment ash (haritāla bhasma) described in the Bhāvaprakāśa (a 16th-century Sanskrit medical work). The ash is an ingredient in the recipe for making alchemical silver in the Rasaprakāśasudhākara (shown in a separate video).
This experiment did not yield the results we had hoped for.
