Welcome to the second series of Reconstructing Indian Alchemy!
In this series, we recreate recipes from a 16th-century Indian alchemical treatise, the Rasaprakāśasudhākara (The Nectar Mine Light on Mercury). In its eleventh chapter, this text describes the making of alchemical gold and silver, pearls and coral.
Our first experiments focussed on the recipe for coral. The video shows an abbreviated and simplified version of our recreation of the recipe.
