This video shows a method of making orpiment ash (haritāla bhasma) described in the Rasataraṅginī. The ash is an ingredient in the recipe for making alchemical silver in the Rasaprakāśasudhākara (shown in a separate video).
This experiment yielded better results than the other two methods we tried.
