When looking to get into 3D printing, many people might be tempted by the very cheap options on Amazon and Aliexpress. While these printers will most likely work, the truth is they are built using outdated features and will require some experience to keep going. In this video, we look at such a printer that its beginner owner reported as broken. We diagnose the problem, and fix a range of upgrades aimed at preventing further problems before they eventuate.
One thing that is clear in this video, is that the community makes these budget printers viable. Mods, upgrades and firmware support is frequently better than what the manufacturer offers.
