The megaAVR 0-series MCU ADC sample accumulation …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓
I’ve already done eight videos about the Arduino Nano Every, its ATmega4809 MCU and the Microchip megaAVR 0-series family of MCUs in general. This time I want to have a look at the accumulation feature of the ADC and oversampling.
First we choose a signal source (internal temperature sensor). Then we have a look at the datasheet and implement sampling with 64x accumulation. Finally we go over the principle and math of oversampling and implement that too.
00:00 Intro – megaAVR 0-series ADC accumulation
00:51 Signal – temperature sensor of the ATmega4809
04:00 Datasheet – ADC, CTRLB register, SAMPNUM parameter
07:15 Accumulating – averaging samples to decrease noise
11:07 Oversampling – the principle and the math
16:46 Increasing resolution – with oversampling of course
24:08 Experimenting – just fooling around with the results
28:10 Wrap-up – maybe you can guess what’s next, bye
