This Colossus build fought in many battles and it never disappointed me. It’s very effective and fun to play combining great “crowd control” capabilities with survivability and powerful combos.

Its core revolves around Solvent Green (Upgraded Venom Spitter) and Voltaic Dome (Upgraded Shock Coil).

Voltaic Dome is an excellent Crow Control tool freezing targets on hit; priming the targets with two effects: Ice and Electric. It covers an Area of Effect and it can easily freeze groups of enemies on their tracks.
At this point you can detonate powerful combos with your melee attacks, combos made more powerful from the bonus damage granted by Solvent Green’s perk.

Solvent Green’s acid damage also deals additional damage to Armor so it’s not just s “stat stick”, even though its damage output may not be stellar.

This build requires the Demolition Tribute Components to work properly. Demolition Tribute allow you to restore Armor each time an enemy you hit with a melee attack is killed (apparently even if killed by another player).
The other components can be easily chosen according to your preference (or availability) but Demolition Tribute is essential.

I codenamed this build Rapid Dominance, the technical name of the Shock and Awe tactic, because of its ability to rapidly seize control of the battlefield.

This build may struggle a little against bosses because its gear is more oriented toward crowd control but it actually applies to most of the Colossus “kits”.
The most logical approach would be to use weapons against those targets but the current state of weapons on Grandmaster 2+ is not a very good one.

However I recently found a Divine Vengeance Assault Rifle (I got it after I recorded the video) with good inscriptions and it actually performs decently against bosses due to the constant Fire explosions when hitting the weak points. Those explosions scale with level (they use the average Power Level of Gear/Components) and so they are not completely useless.

If you have any question feel free to ask.

Thanks for watching :)
