Angus McSix's new album, titled Angus McSix and the All-Seeing Astral Eye, is the band's second studio album and arrives as an epic and even more exaggerated continuation of the saga begun in their debut, Angus McSix and the Sword of Power (2023). Officially released on March 13, 2026, by Napalm Records, the album maintains the project's characteristic formula: bombastic symphonic power metal, absurd humor, over-the-top fantasy narratives, and a touch of self-parody that transforms everything into a ridiculously fun celebration of the genre.
The album marks an important transition in the story: the hero Angus McSix gives way (or is succeeded/frozen/revived?) to Prince Adam McSix, who takes center stage in a new era of the band's mythology. Musically, expect the same grandiose production level as the first album: fast and melodic riffs. Gigantic and catchy choruses. Epic orchestrations. Powerful and theatrical vocals (with the charisma of ex-Týr Heri Joensen at the helm). Many comedic elements and references to classic power metal.
The concept remains a mix of heroic fantasy with inside jokes about the style itself, but now with an even more cosmic and "astral" touch, as suggested by the title with the "All-Seeing Astral Eye". Several tracks have already been released as singles throughout 2025 and early 2026, including "6666", "The Fire of Yore", "I Am Adam McSix" (with an epic guest appearance by Rhapsody of Fire) and "Dig Down" (with the a cappella metal of Van Canto), showing that the band has further increased the level of insane collaborations and fun crossovers.
