Live at Gothenburg Film Studios is the first live album by the Swedish melodic hard rock/AOR band Nestor, released on August 14, 2026, via Napalm Records.
Originally formed in 1989 in Falköping, Sweden, the band lay dormant for years before making a strong comeback in 2021 with their debut album, Kids in a Ghost Town (nominated for a Swedish Grammis award in the Hard Rock/Metal category). Their second studio album, Teenage Rebel (2024), cemented their international success, charting in multiple countries (including reaching #12 in Germany and #19 in Sweden) and garnering millions of streams. It was recorded at Gothenburg Film Studios (also known as Filmstudion) in Gothenburg. The band performed a show at the venue on March 1, 2025, specifically recorded for this future live release. Lead singer Tobias Gustavsson noted that the record showcases "everything Nestor has always been from the start": a live performance complete with the imperfections and quirks that make it human—qualities he values even more in the era of AI-generated music. He described the result as a more human experience and a different facet of the band.
The setlist brings together live versions of tracks from both studio albums, highlighting hits such as "On The Run" and "Firesign" (from Kids in a Ghost Town), the title track "Teenage Rebel," "1989," "Victorious," "Caroline," and others.
