April has been an interesting month on the Pacific Surfliner. Thanks to various motive power and equipment shortages, we've had a wide range of unique power on the normally mundane Surfliner route. Amtrak's 30+ year old GE Dash 8-32BWH locomotives have been a somewhat normal sight on these trains, in addition to GE P42DC motive power, and vintage ex EMD F40PH NPCU cabs.

In this video, we'll follow the line from San Clemente to San Diego, and see some of the unique power on the Surfline. Always a treat to have Dash 8's on the Surfline, still kicking it after all these years!
