Amtrak Cascades trains have been running for 27 years. 2026 marks the biggest change in train equipment since the beginning of the service with the arrival of new AIRO sets. In this video, we'll take one more look at Amtrak Cascades trains in the first half of 2026, prior to the debut of the AIRO trains later this year. Included in this video is a mix of Amfleet and Talgo trains as well as SC-44 charger locomotives, P42DCs, and F40PH units converted into NPCU cab cars. The focus will be on the northern portion of the route, including a few scenes captured in British Columbia.
