Rio Grande Southern number 20 is a restored preserved steam locomotive built in 1899 and currently cared for by the Colorado Railroad Museum. From 1917 to 1951, it pulled trains over the Rio Grande Southern Railroad from Durango to Ridgway, Colorado. In 2026, the locomotive returned to Durango for the first time since the 1950s, pulling special excursions over the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. In this special preview video, we'll take a look at a few different scenes I captured of the locomotive in action on the Durango and Silverton. Eventually, I will be posting a full video featuring the locomotive's final week in Durango, including several special photography trips.
