They're back!! The team (now known as "Bitplane Technomantes") consisting of Axelay on coding duties, Rexbeng on graphics and Tom&Jerry on music - those behind such fantastic Amstrad games such as "Relentless", "Dragon Attack", "Super Edge Grinder" and more... have returned with the Cybernoid inspired - "Hypernoid Zero" and it looks stunning!! Entered into the recent 'Revision 2024' demo competition where it came 3rd place overall in the 'Gamedev' category - which is no small achievement going up against Amiga, PC, etc games! I can't wait to check it out because this looks like an absolutely fantastic production all round, and sure to be one of the big hits of the year on the Amstrad scene...

⚡️ Remastered Update! ⚡️
The original CPC version of "Pinball Magic" looked pretty dull in 4 colours, but at least with palette colour changes for each of it's tables. Most of us know it later got ported to the Amstrad GX4000 console, this time with lots of colours for all the tables. However Jean-Marie - who's done similar remastering work in the past for games like Sly Spy - decided why not patch and add the colours to the original CPC version?! And that's what he's done! Not only that, but he's added awesome new tunes for each of the tables too - which was missing even in the GX4000 version! So let's check it out!

Tonight on the AMSTREAM its another exclusive with the final version of a new Amstrad game...
⭐️ALCON 2020⭐️
🕹️ The 25fps Final Version! 🕹️
Most of us will be familiar with Ocean/Imagine softwares arcade licence Slap Fight, a rather sub standard shmup released back in 1987. Slap Fight was a very popular coin-op and it was a big shame the Amstrad got such a poor conversion. So 2 years ago Abalore Games released their first remake as Alcon 2020 (taking the name of the US release of Slap Fight which was ALCON) to great praise! But they decided to improve on it further.... and 2 years later here we are with the final version with new improvements but most importantly an increased frame rate to a liquid smooth 25 FPS!!!!
Abalore Games have been shipping out the physical editions of their game to people in the community, but tonight they have very kindly provided the very FIRST .cpr ROM file of the final edition of the game for use in emulators to the Amstream for us to play live on stream tonight!!
So I will be attempting to try and loop/beat the game live on the Amstream tonight! Can I do it? Tune in and find out!!

Its all about YOU tonight! Continuing our recent community focussed series on the Amstream, similar to our request nights, but tweaking the format a little and allowing for other fun stuff - like a quiz later! Weve had a long run of Amstreams where its been new games and other special features so I wanted to do something more fun and inclusive for everyone tonight!
Therefore... I want to hear (and then play) your favourite Amstrad CPC games! Plus your reasons why you love them so much! Its a kind of a request night BUT with a twist and a theme... you have to be selected first! For that, we have a random wheel picker where everyones name goes up on! We spin the wheel after each game and see who it chooses next! That way its fair and it could be anyone next! Just make sure you say hello in the chat and Ill add you to the list!
Later on in the stream its the return of a favourite Community AMSGAME!.....

For a fun short section of the stream its Amstrad game music quiz time! You in the chat will have to guess the name of the game from the Amstrad game music being played, who will be the quickest to answer? Well have an online leaderboard keeping track of the scores, and well see who comes out on top at the end! Who has the best ears, memory and fastest fingers? Lets find out!

They may have been short lived and might not be as well known as say Titus and Loriciels, but they produced some fantastic and ground breaking games like Get Dexter, Captain Blood, Purple Saturn Day, Eden / Doomsday Blues, Bubble Ghost, Birdie and many more! So its about time we dedicated a stream to exploring their finest and most interesting games!

Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have another new Amstrad game!...
⭐️🧛 RAMIRO THE VAMPIRE! 🦇⭐️
Its nice to see so many new Amstrad games coming out! And now from the always great Mojon Twins comes Ramiro The Vampire (or to give its full original Spanish title Ramiro El Vampiro: En El Bosque Del Suspiro!) an excellent little platformer with plenty of new novel twists to separate it from many others in the same genre. Ramiro being a vampire can be hurt by sunlight so can only survive for a short amount of time outside so you have to be quick! He can also float whilst jumping by pressing a special key. Also around the dungeons are characters to interact with who can open special rooms filled with dangerous traps - survive for long enough and you will get a special reward! All very intriguing and I cant wait to play it!!
Then its time to Challenge Xyphoe in...

Do you ever find it crazy that some big movies from the 80s never had official licensed home computer games? From Arnies Commando to even Mad Max being completely ignored... but both inspiring many countless un-official games we all enjoyed! A body of work criminally overlooked is most definitely director John Carpenters! (Well, one terrible attempt was made with Big Trouble In Little China but we dont talk about that!!) Surely his classic Escape From New York would be perfect for a computer game? But what if I told you that we DID get a game (an un-official one of course) in all but name, and that its been right under our noses all these years in France from UBI Soft of all companies! Under the name .... Manhattan 95! THIS is the game we are investigating and longplaying here...

Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have a special new updated version of...
⭐️🤵 SLY SPY - SECRET AGENT! 🤵⭐️
The original conversion of this fun coin-op classic (and outrageous James Bond 007 rip-off) from Ocean was actually really decent - it was pretty fast and smooth, it scrolled nicely for the most part, had gorgeous colourful graphics and near enough crammed in all the levels and bosses! There was just one problem - in game it was deathly silently!! No sound fx, no music - nothing! HOWEVER just this week, like Q providing 007 with much needed help - Jean-Marie on the CPC Wiki forums has arrived and converted the Atari ST music over to the Amstrad and using 128k of memory has put the tunes into the game for all the levels! So tonight Im turning into XySpy to check it out and attempt to longplay the whole game to the end!
After Sly Spy its a new Community AMSGAME!.....

Created very kindly by one of our own community members Mikezt (thank you Mike!) we have a new game and quiz for you all to take part in tonight! Slowly revealed will be a loading screen from an Amstrad game.... first person to guess it in the chat wins the round! ⭐️Request Night Part #2⭐️
Tonight its part #2 of our SHMUPS series on the Amstream! That is of course shoot em up games on the Amstrad CPC, and that definition of what constitutes a shmup can be hotly debated. But essentially were looking for games that feature you in some kind of vehicle (usually a space ship!), where the screen is scrolling in one fixed direction (exceptions made for single screen ones like Cybernoid though!) and you take on waves of enemies.
Tonight you in the chat will be making requests and suggestions, well play the game and then well vote on it - with the purpose of eventually nailing down a top 20 then top 10 list of the best shmups on the Amstrad, which in turn Ill make a special video for the channel! So YOU have a hand in crafting and shaping that!
So expect lots of R-Type, Nemsis (Gradius), Silkworm, P47, UN Squadron, Mr Heli, Relentless, Slap Fight (Alcon), Flying Shark, 1942, 1943, Dragon Spirit, Xenon and many many more!
