Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have another new Amstrad game!...
⭐️🧛 "RAMIRO THE VAMPIRE"! 🦇⭐️
It's nice to see so many new Amstrad games coming out! And now from the always great Mojon Twins comes "Ramiro The Vampire" (or to give its full original Spanish title "Ramiro El Vampiro: En El Bosque Del Suspiro!") an excellent little platformer with plenty of new novel twists to separate it from many others in the same genre. Ramiro being a vampire can be hurt by sunlight so can only survive for a short amount of time outside so you have to be quick! He can also float whilst jumping by pressing a special key. Also around the dungeons are characters to interact with who can open special rooms filled with dangerous traps - survive for long enough and you will get a special reward! All very intriguing and I can't wait to play it!!
Then it's time to 'Challenge Xyphoe' in...

Do you ever find it crazy that some big movies from the 80s never had official licensed home computer games? From Arnies Commando to even Mad Max being completely ignored... but both inspiring many countless un-official games we all enjoyed! A body of work criminally overlooked is most definitely director John Carpenters! (Well, one terrible attempt was made with Big Trouble In Little China but we dont talk about that!!) Surely his classic Escape From New York would be perfect for a computer game? But what if I told you that we DID get a game (an un-official one of course) in all but name, and that its been right under our noses all these years in France from UBI Soft of all companies! Under the name .... Manhattan 95! THIS is the game we are investigating and longplaying here...

Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have a special new updated version of...
⭐️🤵 SLY SPY - SECRET AGENT! 🤵⭐️
The original conversion of this fun coin-op classic (and outrageous James Bond 007 rip-off) from Ocean was actually really decent - it was pretty fast and smooth, it scrolled nicely for the most part, had gorgeous colourful graphics and near enough crammed in all the levels and bosses! There was just one problem - in game it was deathly silently!! No sound fx, no music - nothing! HOWEVER just this week, like Q providing 007 with much needed help - Jean-Marie on the CPC Wiki forums has arrived and converted the Atari ST music over to the Amstrad and using 128k of memory has put the tunes into the game for all the levels! So tonight Im turning into XySpy to check it out and attempt to longplay the whole game to the end!
After Sly Spy its a new Community AMSGAME!.....

Created very kindly by one of our own community members Mikezt (thank you Mike!) we have a new game and quiz for you all to take part in tonight! Slowly revealed will be a loading screen from an Amstrad game.... first person to guess it in the chat wins the round! ⭐️Request Night Part #2⭐️
Tonight its part #2 of our SHMUPS series on the Amstream! That is of course shoot em up games on the Amstrad CPC, and that definition of what constitutes a shmup can be hotly debated. But essentially were looking for games that feature you in some kind of vehicle (usually a space ship!), where the screen is scrolling in one fixed direction (exceptions made for single screen ones like Cybernoid though!) and you take on waves of enemies.
Tonight you in the chat will be making requests and suggestions, well play the game and then well vote on it - with the purpose of eventually nailing down a top 20 then top 10 list of the best shmups on the Amstrad, which in turn Ill make a special video for the channel! So YOU have a hand in crafting and shaping that!
So expect lots of R-Type, Nemsis (Gradius), Silkworm, P47, UN Squadron, Mr Heli, Relentless, Slap Fight (Alcon), Flying Shark, 1942, 1943, Dragon Spirit, Xenon and many many more!

🏊♂️ Léon Marchands Olympic Challenge 🏊♂️ Fresh from French swimmer Léons incredibly successful Olympics this summer comes a game in tribute to him from Praline & Team Galaxy (Roudoudou on coding, Titan on graphics and Pulsophonic on music/sfx!) with stunning presentation! You have to take control of Léon over several swimming events by waggling that joystick! Can you beat the time required and achieve the gold medals? Or will you break your stick and/or your arm?! Lets dive in!
⭐️ Osotos ⭐️ The latest game from Japanese coder Inufuto who releases the same game over dozens of computers and consoles simultaneously, not just the Amstrad and also some extremely rare ones too! Osotos is the latest and looks like maybe the best game yet! A fun and clever old skool arcade platformer, that appears to be a clever mix of Pengo and Lode Runner!

I wanted to do a more community focussed stream tonight, so a pure request night with no theme tying us to anything is a good way to go! Plus I may have to finish a little earlier tonight because of a busy Saturday, and needed a more relaxing stream after a stressful busy week!!
As usual, one request per person and we try to favour the more unusual and interesting games that havent been featured much (or at all) on the Amstream! And from people new to the community. Of course we like to play a few classics too! Ill probably pick out a batch of a few games at a time, and dont be disappointed if I dont get to your game - theres not enough time to get to everyones! But there will *always* be more Amstreams for requests!

Were going to be doing something a little bit different tonight! Antstream Arcade are a relative new retro gaming online streaming service (available on PC, Mac, Linux, Android, Amazon Firestick, Xbox just announced, etc) with thousands of old games, and they have been recently expanding their Amstrad library. The coolest thing they offer is online play with tournaments, challenges and leaderboards for your high scores! Ive been streaming on Twitch using their service for over 2 years and its been great fun, and this week theyve given me my very own official global tournament on their platform! Which is a very big deal because many thousands of players will see this! Of course I HAD to choose an Amstrad game, so I picked the classic Who Dares Wins II - and thats what well be playing tonight for the main part of the stream! How well can I perform in my own tournament?! If you have your own Antstream account do feel free to join in, I will check in on the live leaderboards and scores throughout the stream!
For the rest of the night Im setting myself a challenge! To take over the leaderboards on the rest of the Amstrad catalogue of games on Antstream!! 🚀 Coloco 🚀 Your job as a space rescue pilot isnt easy! The galaxy is full of bad pilots crashing their space ships all over the place needing your help. And so its up to you to rescue them over 30 difficult stages on rocky planets and caves dealing with their gravity, some of which have annoying aliens getting in the way! The Mojon Twins are back along with Tuxedo Games to bring you this bright and vibrant game that harks back to classics like Space Taxi meets Lunar Lander, with a bit of Thrust thrown in! Lets hit the thrusters...
🥷 Masarat Khatira 🥷 In this side-on action platformer from Altanerus Dog you play as a mercenary hired to take out an evil witch clan in 1000AD and return some sacred scrolls! The plot and name doesnt make much sense (the name roughly translates to Dangerous Paths) but whats impressive here is the game is mostly coded in BASIC! But will it play well and be fun? Lets try it out!

Request Night Live returns with an Ocean (and Imagine) Software special! As a tribute honouring the memory of Ocean founder David Ward who sadly passed away earlier this week. We couldnt let his passing go unnoticed, this is our way of showing our respect. Ocean are probably my favourite company for Amstrad games - so many awesome games (also on their Imagine label). Theyre also arguably the largest and most consistent producer of decent arcade and licenced games, so this will be a great blast of nostalgia and fun tonight for sure!
