Tonight on the AMSTREAM we have a special new updated version of...
⭐️🤵 SLY SPY - SECRET AGENT! 🤵⭐️
The original conversion of this fun coin-op classic (and outrageous James Bond 007 rip-off) from Ocean was actually really decent - it was pretty fast and smooth, it scrolled nicely for the most part, had gorgeous colourful graphics and near enough crammed in all the levels and bosses! There was just one problem - in game it was deathly silently!! No sound fx, no music - nothing! HOWEVER just this week, like Q providing 007 with much needed help - Jean-Marie on the CPC Wiki forums has arrived and converted the Atari ST music over to the Amstrad and using 128k of memory has put the tunes into the game for all the levels! So tonight Im turning into XySpy to check it out and attempt to longplay the whole game to the end!
After Sly Spy its a new Community AMSGAME!.....

Created very kindly by one of our own community members Mikezt (thank you Mike!) we have a new game and quiz for you all to take part in tonight! Tonight its part #2 of our SHMUPS series on the Amstream! That is of course shoot em up games on the Amstrad CPC, and that definition of what constitutes a shmup can be hotly debated. But essentially were looking for games that feature you in some kind of vehicle (usually a space ship!), where the screen is scrolling in one fixed direction (exceptions made for single screen ones like Cybernoid though!) and you take on waves of enemies.
Tonight you in the chat will be making requests and suggestions, well play the game and then well vote on it - with the purpose of eventually nailing down a top 20 then top 10 list of the best shmups on the Amstrad, which in turn Ill make a special video for the channel! So YOU have a hand in crafting and shaping that!

⭐️ Osotos ⭐️ The latest game from Japanese coder Inufuto who releases the same game over dozens of computers and consoles simultaneously, not just the Amstrad and also some extremely rare ones too! Osotos is the latest and looks like maybe the best game yet! A fun and clever old skool arcade platformer, that appears to be a clever mix of Pengo and Lode Runner!

Request Night Live returns! And theres no theme! So anything goes in terms of requests and what we talk about! When we go live, come in the chat and request Amstrad CPC games for me to play! Simple as that!
I wanted to do a more community focussed stream tonight, so a pure request night with no theme tying us to anything is a good way to go! Plus I may have to finish a little earlier tonight because of a busy Saturday, and needed a more relaxing stream after a stressful busy week!!
As usual, one request per person and we try to favour the more unusual and interesting games that havent been featured much (or at all) on the Amstream! And from people new to the community. Were going to be doing something a little bit different tonight! Antstream Arcade are a relative new retro gaming online streaming service (available on PC, Mac, Linux, Android, Amazon Firestick, Xbox just announced, etc) with thousands of old games, and they have been recently expanding their Amstrad library. The coolest thing they offer is online play with tournaments, challenges and leaderboards for your high scores! Ive been streaming on Twitch using their service for over 2 years and its been great fun, and this week theyve given me my very own official global tournament on their platform! Which is a very big deal because many thousands of players will see this! Of course I HAD to choose an Amstrad game, so I picked the classic Who Dares Wins II - and thats what well be playing tonight for the main part of the stream! How well can I perform in my own tournament?! If you have your own Antstream account do feel free to join in, I will check in on the live leaderboards and scores throughout the stream!
For the rest of the night Im setting myself a challenge! To take over the leaderboards on the rest of the Amstrad catalogue of games on Antstream!! 🚀 Coloco 🚀 Your job as a space rescue pilot isnt easy! The galaxy is full of bad pilots crashing their space ships all over the place needing your help. And so its up to you to rescue them over 30 difficult stages on rocky planets and caves dealing with their gravity, some of which have annoying aliens getting in the way! The Mojon Twins are back along with Tuxedo Games to bring you this bright and vibrant game that harks back to classics like Space Taxi meets Lunar Lander, with a bit of Thrust thrown in! Lets hit the thrusters...
🥷 Masarat Khatira 🥷 In this side-on action platformer from Altanerus Dog you play as a mercenary hired to take out an evil witch clan in 1000AD and return some sacred scrolls! The plot and name doesnt make much sense (the name roughly translates to Dangerous Paths) but whats impressive here is the game is mostly coded in BASIC! But will it play well and be fun? Lets try it out!

Request Night Live returns with an Ocean (and Imagine) Software special! As a tribute honouring the memory of Ocean founder David Ward who sadly passed away earlier this week. We couldnt let his passing go unnoticed, this is our way of showing our respect. Ocean are probably my favourite company for Amstrad games - so many awesome games (also on their Imagine label). Theyre also arguably the largest and most consistent producer of decent arcade and licenced games, so this will be a great blast of nostalgia and fun tonight for sure! And our way of saying thank you to David for bringing such joy to our childhoods, and also now as adults!

A teaser trailer for the new Amstrad CPC game Xyphoes Nightmare coming very soon!
Written by Phil YellowBelly Sandiford (who did Bugs Quest before this one), the game will be an intense score attack platform game against the clock to score as high as you can. Control poor old me in my nightmare where its my mission to get rid of all the Bridge-It tapes whilst avoiding the pumpkins from Cauldron II, crazy Commodore 64s, demented Dizzys and my own missus chucking berserk brussels sprouts at me!
To be released exclusively first to the Antstream Arcade retro gaming streaming service (www.antstream.com) before later being released to the public on tape and disk.

🕹️ Amsoft ROLAND Games Special! ⭐️
Continuing our celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Amstrad CPC 464 this year, and seeing as Roland Perry will be the guest of honour at next Fridays Play Expo Blackpool retro convention - I thought it was time we also celebrated Amstrads earliest gaming mascot - Roland!
Introduced by their own software house Amsoft, also launched with the CPC 464 to provide plenty of software and games at the time of release, many games feature Roland in various disguises and erm sprites. Poor Roland wasnt very consistent over the 10 games he featured in (including the 2 made for ACU magazine) - his earliest incarnation was an Indianna Jones type character, but over time he turned into a strange cube and even into a flea!
So tonight were going to play, celebrate and reminisce about these strange early games - some great! Some crap! Some OK... And well be taking a look at some homebrew games that also brought back the Roland character too!
BUT were also inviting you to take part in a little fun competition to design your own Roland game! Think of a name Roland Goes...., Roland On The... (or whatever) and mock up a design in whatever drawing/design program of your choice... Paint on Windows if you want! Or youve got free AI tools at your disposal now to play with! But Ill provide some Amsoft and Roland art assets in my Discord server you can use to save some time. Youve got today and during the stream to get going with it, and well reveal the entries later on in the stream! Have fun - the funnier the better!
Anyway, its sure to be nice nostalgic Amsfun as always!
