Ampersand Bowline - Another Way of Making the Bowline More Secure
If you learn to knot, one of the first knots that you learn is the Bowline. During our learning process, we also learn that the bowline is a very secure loop on the end of the rope. However, in some cases more security is needed, giving the bowline less opportunity to slip or shake loose. The Yosemite Bowline or Yosemite tie off, came about to give the Bowline additional security.
The Ampersand Bowline is another way of making the Bowline more secure. According to some information I have read, the Ampersand Bowline was discovered by Alan Lee on 1 April 2013 and independently by Xarax on 25 April 2014??
