Went to hear my first T-121 last First Monday. This T-121 is located at Central State University near the Steam Plant off Campus Drive. This was installed by Werden Electric back in the late 2000s, and is an AC-only unit. CSU operates their siren independent of Greene County, but tests it at the same time. Sirens in Greene County are tested on the First Monday of every month at noon.
Some of you may remember an audio recording of this siren from back in January when I dropped a recorder here on my way to Cedarville; after it worked I decided I needed to go hear it for myself at some point.
It was loud and packed a punch, but wasn't quite as loud as I'd expected it to be. Thought you'd be able to hear the SRNB that is part of Xenia Twp's system at Wilberforce University less than half a mile away, but with this thing going off, you couldn't hear them. Enjoy!
