AMBROS SEELOS
Ambros Seelos is a German saxophone and clarinet player, bandleader and arranger.
Originally a smaller band called "The Jokers" the Ambros Seelos Band was founded by Seelos in 1958, after the number of musicians had been extended up to eleven.
Many tours through several European countries followed and on some of these, Ambros Seelos and his Band appeared on stage with some world class acts such as Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald. Later, in the late seventies and eighties, Seelos performed in several Asian cities eg Manila, Hongkong, Bangkok, Bombay, Djakarta and Singapore.
At the end of the 80s decade the Ambros Seelos Band mainly played on cruiseships, of which the "Europa" was the most frequented one. At these occasions the band also accompanied some German singers like Karel Gott, Roberto Blanco and Margot Werner.
The Ambros Seelos records are - even today - very popular with dance schools and dance organizations in Germany and elsewhere.

The song "Forget me if you can" originally appeared in the German TV series "Babeck" where it was performed by German star Senta Berger ("Vergiss mich if du kannst")
The accompanying orchestra was conducted by Peter Thomas, who also is the composer of "Babeck".

A very Original and catchy song in a great dance arrangement written by Ambros Seelos. Composer Peter Thomas did a superb job writing this music for the 1968 German TV series "Babeck" (for those interested, the Original version with the beautiful Senta Berger is available here on yt too) And though the melody does not really linger in one's mind, the theme does take you along for the ride, starting from the very first notes.
Excellent use of the available instrumentation - another "plus" for arranger (and bandleader) Ambros Seelos.
