$This radioactive source is VERY RADIOACTIVE ☢️ Not every radioactive source can be measured with the same detector. This 1 GBq Americium-241 source is powerful enough that we switched to the Radiacode ZERØ, a detector specifically designed for higher dose rates. With around one billion radioactive decays every second, nearly a third produce the familiar 59.5 keV gamma ray used in calibration and industrial applications. Despite its activity, the source is heavily shielded, allowing it to be handled safely using proper shielding, distance, and minimal exposure time...
