Exploring a real Cold War nuclear bunker beneath the ÚJV Řež research site in the Czech Republic. ☢️
Built to shelter hundreds of people, it still contains decontamination showers, old communications equipment, gas masks, emergency supplies, a 1960s Škoda diesel generator and even an emergency escape route through the rock.
The bunker was flooded during the massive Czech floods of 2002, but much of it was later restored, and some of the original equipment still works today.
It genuinely felt like walking into a piece of Cold War history frozen underground….
