Right from the start I knew there would eventually be two videos, one titled Arithmetic and the other titled Logic. This is the first of them.
In this video I configure the ALU control unit (the diode matrix) for all of the remaining arithmetic functions (add, addc, inc, incc, sub, subb, dec). I then use them to add the relevant instruction permutations to the architecture definition and add the implementation in the control unit.
The number of instruction permutations roughly doubles in this video, it feels like a big leap forwards.
