November 24, 2010 - Alex Ovechkin's 2010-11 season wasn't filled with as many memorable nights as fans had come to expect in his first five years, but that didn't mean he didn't leave his mark on a game from time to time, either. Riding a three-game losing streak and just 1 point in his last 4 games, head coach Bruce Boudreau moved Ovechkin from his familiar left wing to the right wing for the night to get Ovechkin going. Ovechkin responded with one of his best games of the season, registering season-highs in assists (3) and shots (10) to go along with 5 hits, including a huge one on Carolina's Chad LaRose early. While the Great 8 wasn't able to record a goal on his volley of shots - he was in the middle of a 19-game stretch where he recorded only 2 goals - the Capitals captain showed how much he could affect a game even in a slump. A game many might not remember, but still a solid performance from Ovi.
