If you're watching this, then this game is now available for PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series. But this game is unique and it's a Metroidvania. Welcome to Akatori.
Akatori centers on a woman named Mako. She's on a journey where she forms friendships, face tough foes and uncover ancient gods. All the while, she's out to discover her true self.
The game is a Metroidvania in every sense of the word. You have access to two weapons: a staff that contains the spirit of a god named Akatori and her fists. You need to adapt, combine and swap your attacks on the fly to bring the pain. Not only that but you'll unlock new abilities that will really help. Since it's also a Metroidvania, exploration is key especially when you get abilities that will make it better. Bear in mind that some attacks will require you to beat enemies to fill a dark gauge then hit a bell in a dungeon. Afterwards, complete a trial and you'll unlock new moves. You'll need them all to survive what this game has to offer.
It's an immediate recommendation from me. Trust me, it is that fun.
