Playthrough | Finale: Hard Route
Two down, one remain. Now we take on the hard route.
This Hard Route is where your skills will be tests. The kid gloves come off and you need to be at your best to win. This route is also the only route where you use the Blue-Marine, a submarine essentially. Also you get to meet another character: Katt Monroe. She only appears in the Hard Route and Macbeth if you exit from Zoness. Not only that but the medal requirements are nuts. Hard Route is also where the real ending happens. You have to beat Andross twice. The second time has him with eyes and a brain. Creepy. So you got to take them down then get out of there in a sequence that is really good.
Overall, Star Fox 64 is a game that still holds up. Not only that but if you know what you're doing, you can get a lot of good high scores. Plus if you get every Medal in every stage, you unlock Expert Mode. Expert Mode is essentially Hard Mode. And if you get every medal in Expert, the title screen is changed symbolizing your hard work.
