Continuing with the popular IndianOil "Now Hear Us" series, this time with a live concert, featuring Carnatic vocalist Aishwarya Vidhya Raghunath and Hindustani vocalist Priya Purushothaman, we kick off with a new concept titled "Synthesis". The first episode is called Meeting Rivers and is an attempt between these two wonderful vocalists to find those common grounds and those differences between their respective art forms.
The first piece of the concert is a combination of Ragam Brindavana Saranga and Brindavana Sarang. The Carnatic composition is Rangapuravihara by Muthuswami Dikshitar and the Hindustani composition is Baurey Jin Allah by Ustaad Feroz Khan.
The singers are accompanied by Vittal Rangan on violin, BC Manjunath on mridangam, Yogeesh Bhat on tabla and Yuji Nakagawa on sarangi. Tambura/tanpura support is provided by Shiv Prasad and Nishtha Nampally respectively.
