We rented an Airstream Atlas Class B+ for a short trip while the shop repaired our truck. This was a great way to pivot and keep our campground reservations at Long Point Park in Melbourne, FL, all while sharing a different kind of RV. Those who have been following the adventure since Season 10 might remember Marc saying, "No more rentals!" This reminds me of a boat we once saw named Never Again II. 😂
This time around, we made sure to pick a rental that was individually owned by a host who was focused on creating a good experience. And as you'll see in this episode, our experience was terrific. Being only the third guests in this particular rental, the RV was still missing a few essentials (such as a broom), but the owner appreciated our feedback. Overall, renting an RV gets expensive fast! There's the cleaning fee, admin fees, and insurance on top of the nightly rental—but if you only take a couple of RV trips per year, it can be a great option.
