This is the first part in a series of videos looking at sparring with a Jo (staff) in Aikido.

The focus of the series is to look at the different types of staff that can be used in sparring and the pros and cons of each Jo. The other thing we will be looking at is if any Aikido is used. Can Suburi and Kata be applied in sparring?

This episode will look at which staves will be used in the upcoming videos and the parameters of the sparring that will be taking place.
