The Aiki Jo developed by Morihei Ueshiba (O'Sensei) is a method of using Japanese staff techniques to teach the principles of Aikido.
The 13 Jo Kata is a staff form that was developed by Saito Sensei and now forms part of of the Iwama Ryu Aikido syllabus.
The first part of this Jo Kata I perform slowly and with pauses between each movement. In the second clip I perform it continuously in one breath.
The 13 Jo Kata was developed for solo practice and should start and finish in the same position.
