I know this is gonna surprise some of you, but I THINK something shady’s happening over on Tiktok
A convoluted supplement company claiming to have the “Nigerian secret to clean liver” is using AI generated viral marketing to distribute unregulated pills on the internet
They’re called Rosabella - and their whole strategy is to AI generate pseudo-professionals that look and sound real enough to shill for their supplements
They flood hundreds of accounts at a time with people of different cultural backgrounds in order to hyper-target different types of potential customers - and it’s allegedly been incredibly profitable
Since supplements aren’t a regulated market, they can effectively promise pretty much anything and speak with the authority of a medical professional at all times with little to no pushback - which is extremely effective, especially when targeted towards elderly US citizens who’re more susceptible to falling for AI scams
