Meet Annabelle Richens, the skilful 1st AD behind One Note Away, as she shares her considerations when scheduling, breaking down scripts and considering the needs of the crew to access a place of safe creativity where everyone can deliver their best contribution.
The Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production Graduation Year 3 Productions culminate three years of learning, commitment to story and honing the craft. The graduation projects are driven by students’ ideas instead of the set briefs proposed through the various production exercises led during the course.
One Note Away was written and directed by Marcus Tran and produced by Charlie Peiffer last year and is currently entering the film festival circuit, so expect to keep hearing from this fantastic crew! The film tells the story of an elderly Vietnamese grandmother and her son over the course of one day as he checks her into a retirement village, and it reflects on their past and their relationship.
