In this video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com, I will show you how to create a cut-out design of a tree of life.
The design is created by using just circles, strokes with pressure curves, symbols, and compound groups. I start by creating a spiral [as Affinity Designer currently has no spiral tool].
The design of the tree uses basic shapes. Starting with the frame, I fill the design and then add decoration to it.
Compound tools are a great tool when working on cut files or exporting to SVG or EPS.

Most of the functionality shown in the video can be created with other software tools such as Adobe's Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.
