No language at all – but excellent material for a brilliant speaking / writing activity nevertheless! The ad is just 2 min long. You get the class to watch it and then you ask them: ‘How many obstacles did the producers come up with in order to make it harder for people to get to Platform 6? There were 9 of them altogether.’ Working in pairs, students have to try to remember everything. They score one point for every obstacle they remember, and an extra point for each if they remember where it came in the sequence. Do not accept incomplete sentences (e.g. ‘dogs’).
