In this video I take a look at the rather clever Accsoon M7 and M7 pro monitors. These are Accsoon's first monitors and they are certainly making a big splash entering a very crowded pool. What makes these monitors special and incredibly versatile is that they run on Android. In normal use you probably won't even realise this as most of the time it behaves just like any other monitor. But you can leave the the built in monitoring app and then load additional Android apps onto the device. This opens up all sorts of possibilities such as using Sony's Monitor and Control app to wirelessly monitor and control Sony cameras. You could load your favourite lighting controller app or your favourite the ftp or cloud app. As a professional, fully calibrated monitor you have HDMI and SDI in and out, plus the ability to run it continuously without overheating, to power it from NP-F batteries or a wide range of other methods - things that phones and tablet don't have!
UPDATE: Accsoon have informed me that they are working on wireless control via the built in HDMI/SDI monitoring app and this will then allow control of the FX6/Burano/FX3/FX30/FX2 and many Alpha's while using the HDMI or SDI input.
UPDATE 2: Accsoon have informed me that The M7 Pro will also gain the ability to transmit video via a later firmware update.
