Aerial views of the massive Union Pacific J.R. Davis Yard, in Roseville, California in September of 2025. Originally known as the Southern Pacific Roseville Yard, it is the largest rail yard on the West Coast of the United States. Dating back to the early 1900's, the yard covers 915 acres, and can hold approximately 6,500 rail cars.

The Roseville yard is also home to the Union Pacific snow removal equipment, including several vintage rotary snowplows and B-units, some of which we will see from above.

In this video, we'll explore above the yard, featuring unique views of the hump yard operations, and various pieces of equipment stored in the yard.

Also included are bonus shots of the Siemens Mobility Florin Facility, in nearby Florin, California.
