Engine swaps take ingenuity and problem solving. This video incorporates a little of both as we show the process of building an adapter plate (complete bell housing) to adapt the Toyota 1jz GTE vvti engine to a GM 4L65e transmission from a C5 Corvette. Built from robust quarter inch 6061-T6 aluminum this adapter should be able to withstand the 600 HP we hope to squeeze out of our twin turbo setup.
