This is a video I probably wouldn't have completed if it hadn't been for Robert Cloosterman (check him out: youtube.com/channel/UCfGvQJMZpLGv8Owu0BZJuWQ ). Not that it is a bad video, at least not worse than my others I hope. 😁
Somehow I seemed to simply have forgotten about it until I saw Robert had put up a walking stick challenge. So this was an easy one for me to join because the footage was readily available!
This walking stick is made from merantii and it has been coated with six layers of home made shellac which I burnished with shavings after each layer. The finish is really good. A good example that if you have the right tools & materials you can make something that's actually superior to what you can buy. Let me know what you think!
