Now that I have a huge pile of green wood in my yard and a Coring tool in the shop I figured it makes sense to try and process a good amount of the wood before it starts cracking. That means all hands on deck in the shop!
So far I only managed to prepare four blanks from the Ash and turn & core three of them. Two Ash trees is really a lot and thus far the pile hasn't become visibly smaller. The plan is to cut several pieces into smaller blanks for making change bowls and other smaller items. These can be sealed with wax or something similar and put away for drying. That means a Chainsaw Saturday is also coming. Stay tuned!
