How many of you watch Game of Thrones? I have fallen in love with the series thanks to my dear German friends who kept insisting I watch it, and now I'm into the books as well!
So, a longtime ago, one of my most inspirational vidders made a Christmas wishlist asking, among others, for a Merlin/Dany vid. I started working on this in late November, and between awful amounts of school work and periods of total blanks of inspiration here is the result at last! So, to Alora, I guess this is your (late late late! D:) Xmas present, turned more into an early Easter one I guess! Your videos have been a constant inspiration to me, and it is only fair that I did something for you in return!
Now, onto the video. Merlin/Daenerys are probably my favourite crossover pairing, because I love both characters individually, but mostly because they actually make so much sense! They aren't just one of those random paired couples, but if their worlds actually collided they would really have something deep to share like their connection to dragons. So that's why I wanted to build a storyline pretty much around fire and dragons, as the title says :)
Probably Dany turns up to be less the badass warrior type and more the princess in this story, but I figured out it would be fitting since here she's still under the "control" of her brother Viserys all the time. I think the plot should be understandable, but I'm giving you some background information:
-Again, this world is a not-very-definite mix of Albion and Westeros :)
-The Targaryens have never been usurped, so Viserys sits on the Iron Throne and Dany is the royal princess.
-Kilgharrah is the last living dragon, but despite the fact that his House built its power on the alliance with dragons, Viserys became fearful they could one day turn against his family, so having obtained all the power he needed he chained Kilgharrah in a cave with deceit (much like Uther in canon Merlin). Therefore, Kilgharrah feels vengeful towards him and refuses to acknowledge his authority, letting only his sister call to him.
-Merlin lives in Ealdor with his mother and father, who is the last Dragonlord. He believes all dragons are dead and has no idea one still lives, albeit caged...
Also, here are some key plot points that may need clarifying:
↬ Viserys needs Daenerys to call upon the dragon because he will only accept to appear if she asks. He doesn't accept orders from Viserys anymore now that he's been betrayed.
↬ Viserys is obviously worried about Kilgharrah's prophecy, so once he has information about the Dragonlord's rumored location, he orders his men to kill all the villagers in Ealdor for good measure.
↬ Dany manages to stop the madness in time and takes a few surivors (Merlin among them) to the palace to be healed. Not shown: she means to give them jobs in the palace to allow them to rebuild their lives after her brother's monstrous act. (So Merlin is working at court like in canon from this point onwards. I didn't really have space to show this, but he's not supposed to be wandering around pointlessly in the castle! xD)
↬ Viserys is mad at Dany in the woods because she has challenged his authority by saving the villagers, when he had ordered a complete slaughter.
↬ The "reveal" scene: Merlin shows Dany she's not the only one to be unburnt by fire.
↬ Like in episode 2x13 of "Merlin", Kilgharrah gets a bit...carried away with his revenge. He burns the whole city down, and when he spots Dany he attacks her because he'll just take his revenge on anyone Targaryen.
↬ When he sees the dragon freed and attacking the city, Viserys blames Dany and tries to hurt her.
↬ After her dream comes true, Dany looks at the burning palace, and realizes she's left her precious eggs behind, so she walks through the flames to retrieve them.
If you managed to get to the end of this, you're a hero! But I hope you can get the basics of the story even without my neverending description ^_^
I'm not entirely happy about the video, but I worked so long on it, every comment and opinion will be appreciated!

Hiya all!
Alternate title to this video: me getting my hands back on manipping and frustrating the hell out of myself (as if exam session wasnt frustrating enough on its own). Also, dedicated to Anouk (Ilovehertjes) because of a FB conversation we had some time ago, and because shes probably one of the two or three people among my subscribers who will actually know who these folks are ^-^
For the rest, this lovely couple is from Telltales Game of Thrones videogame series, which Ive started playing while suffering from withdrawal symptoms after s5 ended (in that HORRIBLE way T T *hugs bb Jon*). The game is set between the ending of s3 and s4 of the series, and has you playing as several members of House Forrester (Stark bannermen) as they struggle to keep their House from ruin and abuse by their neighbours in the aftermath of the Red Wedding. Needless to say, Ive soon become completely engrossed with the story and the characters (BAD, bad move, as this is GOT and therefore everyones going to die painfully, I can feeeeeeeel it in my bones ; ;). Episode 5 is going to be out in a couple of days, and I feel like Im breathing anxiety!
Anyway, in the midst of all the tension, GOT politics and family drama, I found myself totally shipping these two, hence the video where I have tried to incorporate a bit of fancasting for them, too! Rodrik is the eldest child and heir to House Forrester and was initially presumed dead, but actually survived the massacre at the Twins (even if he got badly wounded and scarred); while Elaena was his one-time betrothed and her House used to be a strong ally to the Forresters before the War of the Five Kings erupted. When the game actually gave the option to kiss her while playing as Rodrik I think I squealed like a madwoman ♥ I guess I just have a weakness for childhood sweethearts growing into partners and lovers and where the man has a physical condition (*coughs in Richanne*)...

Im the devils son, straight out of hell, and youre an angel with a haunted heart...
Not sure what this video is (the only sure thing is that it should probably be titled Vale sucks at typography), but at least its something...and its Star Wars! I feel like Ive neglected this fandom awfully, but my love for it has never and *will* never go away - despite the fact that I have my big fat issues with TFA. Why am I vidding it then, youll ask? Because I thought the characters in it were quite brilliant and have a lot of potential, but the plot of the film was the laziest ever (parallels are my favourite thing in the world, but not to the point of almost downright copying sequences from the other movies...) and some things didnt make sense to me, even though I wont ramble about it unless asked. I hope the next films can resolve some of the issues I had with this first one, and expand on the characters potential, and especially on these two here, who are still the most intriguing to me ^-^
As for the way I see them, I am not jumping on the shipping bandwagon I saw developing here on YT where Ben/Kylo and Rey are concerned, because I still fancy the idea that they are siblings (the film really seems to point to Rey being Lukes, but it seemed a bit *too* obvious to me...plus I would love it if they were siblings, it would make their clash even more epic and it would be a nice nod to the not-canon-anymore Jacen and Jaina Solo). This song perhaps isnt the best to portray their struggle, but I suppose what I wanted to underline is that Ben/Kylo is not that villainous as he wants to appear, and a part of him realizes he has put himself on a path of suffering of his own choosing; and that my hope is that if Rey has to follow in Lukes footsteps, then she might as well become the one who believes he can be turned back. For now well just have to wait and see where the scriptwriters will take them :)

Im about to leave again, so again here it is another vid for MVT made overnight...and omg, I really cant believe Im uploading this, because I seriously hate it so much :( all I could manage was this random plot idea, I really wasnt inspired ^^ anyway, I am REALLY grateful to have been allowed to go this far into the contest, I wouldve never thought it possible, and to me its already a big result. So thanks to the judges again, and good luck to everyone!
This plot should be fitting into the middle of season 3, surely after episode 5 where Morgana knows shes Uthers daughter and therefore she and Morgause start plotting to kill Arthur off.
Ive always liked the idea of Merlin being, for once, the one enchanted and having to fight against himself for that reason...so here it is, (lame) plotline! The two magical sisters manage to cast a powerful spell on Merlin, to try to take control of him and make him act as they wish; that way they could easily get close to the prince through his manservant, and meanwhile get rid of the one always ruining their plans. Morgana initially has Merlin spying on Arthurs documents for her; Merlin does realize somethings wrong with him, but no matter how he fights against it he cant get out of the spell. But when the sisters try to make him kill Arthur, will he go through it or will he be able to stop himself from destroying eveything hes ever sworn to protect?
I used simple editing and almost no colouring to keep it close to the real promos. (Also, if youre wondering, in the Italian DVDs the promos for next episodes are introduced by the writing The adventures of Merlin and not just Merlin like in the original version, so thats why mine is different I guess ^_^)

Morgause: The boy will be of use to us, when he has lost his mind.
Morgana: I want you to do something for me.
Gaius: Merlin, what have you done?
Merlin: I dont understand...Shes controlling me.
Morgana: Why not just kill Arthur now?
