Critical Issues Commentary | A Review of Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets, Part 36 – “Birthers” for God? @CICministry | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Dutch Sheets claims that we can be “birthers for God” as we release the Holy Spirit through prayer so that He can generate spiritual life. Bob DeWaay quotes John 3:8 to show that Dutch Sheets’ claim is contrary to the teaching of Jesus. We cannot control the wind, and we cannot control or release the Holy Spirit. We proclaim the gospel, and the Holy Spirit regenerates whom He will regenerate.
