Critical Issues Commentary | A Review of Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets, Part 14 – Who Administers the New Covenant? @CICministry | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
In his book Dutch Sheets uses 2Corinthians 3:6 to claim that believers administer “the blessings and provisions of the new covenant” (p. 79). We show that Paul was referring to his own apostolic ministry, that the covenant was initiated by God, and that the terms are determined by God. We have access to the blessings of the new covenant through Christ alone, with no other mediator. We go on to examine the context of this passage, showing that we are servants of Christ who preach the gospel, but He alone mediates and administers the new covenant.
This is a critique of Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets, Bethany House, 199
