In this episode we examine the “still small voice” passage to see if it indicates that believers ought to expect to hear from God in this way. We compare Exodus 19:18-20 to 1Kings 19:10-14. Both passages describe a theophany, and both passages end with God speaking audibly to Moses and Elijah. He spoke audibly to His ordained spokesmen, not through metaphysical impressions. When we read God’s Word we can know that we are hearing from Him.
