Critical Issues Commentary | God’s Will and Christian Liberty Part 5, God Gives Wisdom @CICministry | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
In this episode we conclude our discussion of CIC Issue 75 “God’s Will and Christian Liberty.” We begin by examining the lament literature in Scripture, showing that sometimes the wicked prosper while bad things happen to believers. A positive outcome is not always proof that we are using God’s wisdom, and we praise God even during difficult times. When we make decisions using Christian liberty, we learn more about God’s providence.

We go on to discuss God’s promise of wisdom found in James 1:5-6 and James 3:13-17. Wisdom is grounded in faith in God and trust in His promises and providence. Wisdom has to do with the type of attitude we have in making all decisions, and it is about the motivations of the heart rather than obtaining a desired outcome.
