I finally psyched myself to go looking, and I visited the shelter four times over the course of this past week, talking to and observing 40+ cats and kittens. The worst problem? I wanted to bring them all home.
I had to choose just one. He's 5 months old, the girls at the shelter named him Rooster, just a temporary name and subject to change. For reasons I can't explain, Rocky has popped into my head. It seems to fit, especially as "rocky" as he was after the surgery today (he got neutered...). I'm open to suggestions.
He's a stunningly beautiful little kid, a dynamo, and as affectionate as they come. This is going to be a fun ride. He and Blackie just met as of 1:30 this AM. Rocky hissed briefly, and then found something to explore. Blackie gave me a "Why did you do this to me" look and climbed up on the fridge and went to sleep.
