Out and about Walking in Alderton
So, for today's walk we are in the village of Alderton which is located within the Tewkesbury district of Gloucestershire, it is about 15 miles north of Cheltenham and 6 miles east of Tewkesbury. The village has around 1,200 residents. Local facilities include a local pub the Gardeners Arms, a village shop & post office (which appeared to be closed at the time of walking past). There is also a local junior school which is Oak Hill Primary School. The village church is St Margaret of Antioch and is of the Anglo-Saxon era.
There is a pleasant variation of architecture in the village as some houses have Cotswold Stone cladding, some are red brick, some houses have thatched roofs which have the gorgeous rustic look to them and finally a fair few modern new builds.
If you are a regular follower of this channel then you will probably know that I tend to favour early morning walks over general daytime filming and envisage this not ever changing but on the other hand to add some degree of variation to the content uploaded I shall record the occasional daytime walk which may even increase at times during the summer months, so something for everyone :)
