Room 713 might be one of the most atmospheric anomaly horror games I’ve played in a long time. The 1970s hotel setting, creepy atmosphere, and psychological horror absolutely nail the vibe, and the anomaly gameplay itself is genuinely fun.

But after multiple complete playthroughs, one major problem started to show: RNG.

The game features multiple endings that require specific anomalies to appear, but the game can repeatedly give you the exact same anomalies you’ve already seen. Even after beating the game four or five times during this recording, we kept getting the same ending over and over because the anomalies needed for the other endings simply never appeared.

So is Room 713 a hidden horror gem, or does its randomization system ruin what could have been a fantastic experience? Tonight we’re checking into Room 713 to find out.

If you enjoy anomaly horror games, liminal spaces, psychological horror, and atmospheric indie games, be sure to leave a like and subscribe for more horror content.
