Mario's Journal:
Day 4
After we showed Anjean the rail map, she told us that some of the Spirit Tracks have reappeared. Not all of the tracks have been restored though. We have to add more energy to the map by visiting Gage, another Lokomo (that's what Anjean's people are called).
The problem was we didn't have a train, but Anjean told us we could use the Spirit Train (which was the stone train we saw when we entered). The stone crumbled, revealing a great train! It drove beautifully!
The place where Gage was is called the Forest Sanctuary, but it was right in the middle of a forest. We got so lost we ended up at the entrance to the forest. Zelda figured we should stop at a nearby town. We found one called Whittleton.
We actually stayed the night there. The chief and the other locals of Whittleton knew how to navigate the Lost Woods. I wrote down the instructions and we went back on our way. The instructions really helped and we made it to the Forest Sanctuary in a matter of minutes.
Gage was there to greet us. He told us that to help restore the Spirit Tracks, we have to go to the Forest Temple and restore the force gem there. The tracks to the temple are gone and the only way to restore them is to play a sacred duet with Gage.
I was a little nervous about playing the flute, but Zelda and Gage helped me know how to play it and what notes to play. It was...strangely easy. It was like the notes were playing themselves. The duet sounded beautiful. I heard a noise outside. More tracks had appeared.
