In this video, 9 Lives, released in 1990 for the Atari ST by ARC.
The life of a cat is a busy one. Claudette cat has been kidnapped by "The Mad Scientist" and Bob cat is on a mission to save her. It will take skill and lives to save Claudette and luckly, being a cat, you have 9 of them.
9 Lives is a platform with good graphics, brilliant sprite animations but the disappointing scrolling makes it a very hard game, since you don't know where you will land when you make a jump. Speaking of jump, you gauge the height of your jumps by how tall the tail at the side of the screen is and you need a lot of practice to master it. Beginners will give up on it very quickly, but if you're a veteran platform player with an insatiable appetite for a challenge then this a game for you.
