🎶 UPTOWN FUNK on the Commodore 64 – like you’ve never heard it before!
This is a Dual SID 8-Bit Chiptune cover of Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, pushing the C64 SID chip far beyond its usual limits.
To make those funky guitar sounds possible, I used a second SID chip exclusively for guitar simulation.
With Dual SID, I can fully dedicate extra channels to tight funk strums, rhythmic accents, and expressive articulation – something that has never really existed in classic 8-Bit Chiptune music before.
The result is a mix of:
🎸 Funk guitar vibes recreated in 8-Bit
🖥️ Authentic C64 SID sound
🎵 Modern pop & funk meets retro hardware
🔊 Dual SID = 6 channels of pure chiptune power
