We had some major rain yesterday! Our rain gauge only goes up to 7 inches and it was overflowing. NWS say we got 6 to 8 inches dumped on us in just a few hours. Since we have been dry for the most part, the ground couldn't soak it up fast enough so it just piled up and ran everywhere. Judging by the boards on our raised beds we had a 4 inch deep mini river running through our yard. We only had temporary flooding in our yard and some minor flooding in my workshop (wet floor) so we got off pretty easy. Our sump pump was working overtime under the house! Not so sure how well the homes downstream from us fared though. In the second half of the video you can see on the left where the water flowing through our yard crossed the next door neighbor's yard and is making a little waterfall on the curb! You can see it coming up from the manhole too. The water pooled up in the yards at the end of the street there was 2 or 3 feet deep in some places.
